MPFTA Double Flap Gate Airlock Valve

The MPFTA A-Series Cast Double Flapgate Airlock Valve is engineered for medium-pressure applications and standard operating temperatures up to 650°F. Built with a cast iron housing and White Iron/Ni-Hard seats and flaps, the MPFTA offers a durable, cost-effective alternative to rotary valves.

Ideal for use with dust collectors, precipitators, and cyclones, the MPFTA handles pressure differentials up to 193″ WC (7 psi). It’s also a strong replacement for rotary airlocks prone to premature wear. To extend service life, the seats and gates can be re-ground.

Designed to match the industry-standard flange pattern and height, the MPFTA can be easily integrated into existing systems. It is available with pneumatic, electro-mechanical, or gravity/counterweight actuation options.

How It Works

The MPFTA features a double flap design that controls material flow while maintaining a secure airlock. Two pivoting gates operate in sequence to fill and empty the intermediate chamber, ensuring one gate is always closed to prevent air leakage. This design provides reliable sealing performance, even under high temperatures and pressure, without compromising system efficiency.
